Hi there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I grew up here in SLO and moved away in my early 20s to join a band and pursue my passion for music. When that didn't work out for me I re-discovered my love for photography after many years of trying to figure out what I was gonna do with my life. I moved back home to the central coast and in 2019 I was lucky enough to go full-time as a professional photographer. My favorite color is midnight blue, I wear black 6 days a week, I'm a huge Mariners and Raiders fan and I'm married to the love of my life and best friend Rachel. When I'm not out capturing memories, you can find me hiking, golfing, shopping at Costco, or hanging with my two cats Moon & Elde. Top any of those off with a dutch crunch deli sandwich and a cold kombucha and I'm as happy as I can be.

I've always loved creating images. From disposable cameras to my first photography class at Cuesta College, I've always loved being able to capture memories. But really, it was in 2014 when I bought a digital camera for a backpacking trip through New Zealand where the passion caught fire. Since then, I never stopped. I started chasing sunsets and taking trips that I would have never gone on if it wasn't for a camera. I found something that came so naturally, which I actually enjoyed, that with enough humbling compliments, I decided to start taking pictures of people. I started by taking pictures of all my friends, their kids, and my boss's wedding, and the next thing I knew, referrals came in one after another, and I never looked back. Not only does photography now support me, but it truly makes me happy. It's not just a job for me. It defines me as a person. When I think about what I do for a living, and what I do for fun, the answer rarely is the same for both.

WHY ME?

Good question. Well, I love what I do. I know, I know, that's what every photographer says. But seriously. It took my whole life to figure out what I wanted to do and once I found it, I took it and ran with it. I'm not just running on autopilot like so many of the tenured photographers out there. Every session is unique, every person is unique, and every moment is different from the last. That's what makes it special every time. But what separates me from the rest, is that I started with a landscape photography background, so I always like to make sure everything in the picture, is just as beautiful as the people in it. I'm committed to celebrating the love between all couples and people of any ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, and body type whether it's a family session or a beautiful wedding.
