I'm Dylan.
If you’ve found your way to my website, chances are you already know I’m a photographer based on the beautiful Central Coast of California. I grew up in San Luis Obispo and graduated from SLO High School and Cuesta College, where I took my very first photography class. After spending my 20s moving around California, chasing my dreams of music with a band, I rediscovered my passion for photography in 2014 when I bought my first digital camera for a backpacking trip through New Zealand. What I thought would only ever be a hobby quickly evolved into a career, and in 2018, I took the plunge and pursued photography professionally full-time and started doing video in 2022. It’s been an incredible ride.
Photography has always been in my bones. From my early days with disposable cameras and camera phones, I was always drawn to capturing the world around me. After my trip to New Zealand, I truly found my spark. That trip opened my eyes to the magic of photography, and I found myself chasing sunsets and taking on adventures I might not have considered if I didn’t have a camera in hand. That’s when I realized—I didn’t just want to take photos. I needed to.
I moved back to SLO in 2016 and over the years, my focus shifted from chasing landscapes to capturing people—friends, families, weddings—and as word spread, the referrals rolled in. Today, I’m honored to have worked on over 200 weddings and hundreds of portraits, family sessions, and commercial shoots over the last 8 years. Each one has deepened my love for what I do, and I consider it a true privilege to help preserve moments that matter.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hiking the coast, playing golf, putting together puzzles or legos, playing board games, or shopping at Costco. I’m a big baseball and football guy and a huge fan of the Seattle Mariners and Las Vegas Raiders (it’s a lifelong thing). I’m also a lover of art, music, and spontaneous road trips and if you catch me on a relaxing day, there’s a good chance I’m enjoying a Dutch Crunch deli sandwich and a cold kombucha—pure happiness. I’m married to my best friend and beautiful wife, Rachel, who is my greatest supporter and partner in life. We also share our home with our two cats, Moon & Elde, who add a little chaos and a lot of love to our lives.
I believe in personal growth and continuous self-improvement, always striving to be a more empathetic human. I try to bring this same mindset to my photography - creating an environment where people feel comfortable, loved, and seen. Photography allows me to express the love I feel for the world and share it with others. In a way, it’s a form of therapy for me, too.

My goal is to help you enjoy every moment without feeling stressed or overwhelmed, while also creating a collection of stunning images that truly reflect the emotions and energy of the day.
